Job Description
Job Title: Hadoop Admin
Experience: 5 Years
Employment Type: Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)
Location: Kolkata / Possible of Remote (Shift requested from 3 PM till 11 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain Hadoop clusters ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage and monitor Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS YARN Hive Impala and other related technologies.
- Oversee the integration of data from Oracle Flexcube and other source systems into the Cloudera Data Platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Hadoop infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize data workflows and processes.
- Implement and manage data backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to Hadoop administration processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Hadoop administration preferably in the banking sector.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Flexcube Cloudera Data Platform Hadoop Hive and Impala.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing Hadoop clusters.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Hadoop administration or related fields is a plus.
