The Prince WilliamManassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC) is currently looking for a career minded individual to serve as the Senior Clinical Services Caseworker (Mental Health Supervisor). As the Mental Health Supervisor youll be responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision to a vibrant team of diverse professionals who focus on helping mentally ill and cooccurring individuals who have contact with the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to practice collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to motivate independent clinical professionals and to perform as a team at a high level. Responsible to perform clinical assessments; oversee treatment plans for incarcerated individuals; and crisis intervention. In addition this supervisory position will provide ongoing training; supervision; guidance and support and direction under the supervision and coordination with the Clinical Services Case Management Manager (Mental Health Director). Advanced knowledge of current treatment interventions for individuals with behavioral health disorder and/or cooccurring substance use disorders; trauma informed care; psychopharmacology and crisis intervention. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
NATURE OF WORK
This class is part of the Clinical Services Case Management Job Family. Incumbents provide clinical evaluation assessment crisis intervention counseling therapy treatment and rehabilitation for clients. Incumbents serve as a supervisor to lowerlevel staff. Responsibilities may include overseeing and coordinating services; evaluating and reviewing service plans; assigned cases; and conducting comprehensive assessments plans crisis intervention trauma informed care; consultation and referral.
Distinguishing Characteristics
This position is responsible for coordinating clinical services providing case management and serving as a lead worker to subordinate staff members.
TYPICAL CLASS RESPONSIBILITIES (These responsibilities are a representative sample; position assignments may vary).
MINIMUM EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree and 3 years of related experience. Minimum requirements may vary based upon state mandates.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Masters degree in psychology social work counseling or related behavioral science field.
Must be licensed in Virginia; LCSW or LPC; or a Licensed Clinical Psychologist
23 years of professional level supervisory experience
At least three years experience providing services to clients with serious mental illness and cooccurring disorders.
PREFERRED:
Licensed Clinical Supervisor LPC or LCSW
Experience in the correctional mental health field
Experience with coordination of services with multiple providers in the criminal justice system

Exempt
WORKING SCHEDULE:
Fulltime 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8 hour rotations; there are times this position may require and include evening hours weekend and oncall. A commitment is made to offer scheduling flexibility as the program allows
STARTING SALARY RANGE:
$88296.00 $139288.50 annually

INCENTIVES:
$5000.00 Hiring Bonus
***Hiring incentives will be paid out in two (2) equal installments. Fifty percent (50%) of the incentive will be paid after ninety (90) days of employment and fifty percent (50%) will be paid following the completion of the probationary period. Probationary employees that voluntarily terminate employment with the County shall repay the net amount (minus state and federal taxes) of the first bonus installment via a deduction from their annual leave payout and/or remit payment of any remaining balance within thirty (30) days following separation of employment from the County***
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting fingering grasping feeling talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time the job is rated for Light Work.
Incumbents may be subjected to bodily fluids and environmental threats.
