Compensation: $100000 $130000 (depending on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic MEP firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and overseeing electrical systems forhighend residential light commercial heavy commercial multifamily municipal and school board projects.
The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical and plumbing engineers architects and contractors.
- Not a supervisory role but may mentor junior staff.
- The role could evolve into a project management position in the future.
- You must enjoy design and seeing a project from start to finish
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution lighting fire alarm low voltage and grounding systems in compliance with local and national codes.
- Prepare construction documents including drawings (AutoCAD/Revit) and specifications.
- Perform load calculations circuiting and equipment sizing using appropriate software and engineering principles.
- Review and coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines (mechanical plumbing architectural and structural).
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to assess existing conditions and ensure construction compliance.
- Assist in cost estimation material selection and project scheduling.
- Support permitting and construction processes through technical reviews and documentation.
- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to define project requirements and present engineering solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends standards and emerging technologies in electrical engineering and MEP design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Multiple years of relevant electrical engineering experience in an MEP or building systems environment.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as NEC NFPA ASHRAE and IBC.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- PE License required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sustainable design and LEED certification processes.
- Must enjoy design and design work while having the chance to mentor Junior Electrical Engineers
Working Conditions:
- Occasional site visits required.
