A reputable healthcare system that borders beautiful Lake Ontario is searching for a Registered Nurse for its inpatient Psych Unit. In this role you will assess patients symptoms plan interventions implement treatment plans evaluate patients responses and revise care plans based on overall effectiveness. You will interact with patients families healthcare team members and 3rd parties and ensure quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care.
- Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical and mental assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
- Document the care provided and the patients progress toward the desired goals.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on the care plan and how to manage their care after discharge.
- Administer medications to patients as needed/directed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license.
- 1 years of psych experience is preferred.
Additional info:
- Fulltime permanent position
- Schedule: 3x12 7a7p
- Pay: $3443hr. base depending on experience generous differentials.
