Title I Part A 211 The intent of Title I Part A is to provide supplemental resources to LEAs to help schools with high concentrations of students from lowincome families provide highquality education that will enable all children to meet the challenging state academic standards.

Title II Part ASupporting Effective Instruction 255 The intent of Title II Part A is to provide resources to LEAS to increase student achievement improve the quality and effectiveness of teachers principals and other school leader and to increase the number of teachers principals land other school leaders who are effective in improving student academic achievement in schools.

Title III Part A 263 The intent of Title III Part A is to provide supplemental resources to LEAs to help ensure that children who are English learners including immigrant children and youth attain English proficiency at high levels in academic subjects and can meet the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet.

Title IV Part A 287 The intent of Title IV Part A is to improve the academic achievement of all students by increasing the capacity of LEAs schools and communities to provide all students with access to a wellrounded education improve school conditions for student learning and improve the use of technology in order to enhance academic outcomes and digital literacy of students.

Perkins V 244 The intent of Perkins V 244 is toexpand opportunities for every student to explore choose and follow career and technical education programs of study and career pathways to earn credentials of value.

SUMMARY:

Under moderate supervision ensure efficient operation of school administrative office by organizing and managing the routine work activities and provide clerical services for schools administrative staff.

  • Provide program support and service delivery; communicate effectively within and across teams and participate in crossfunctional work groups.
  • Maintain a commitment to the District mission; model District expectations through personal leadership and actively support the efforts of others to achieve District goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Title I Requirements

  • Maintain Title I schoolwide budget.
  • Collect data and create documentation for each Title I schoolwide activity.
  • Submit documentation for Title Crate.
  • Ensure expenditures do not exceed the 25% allocation for Title I requirements.
  • Inventory Title I purchases.
  • Note activities that supplant not supplement and alert the campus principal.
  • Note fraud waste and abuse of federal funds and alert the campus principal.
  • Submit various reports associated with grant(s).
  • Assist principal in ensuring practices are reasonable and necessary to satisfy requirements of the grant.
  • Assist in the comprehensive needs assessment and Classification of Instructional Programs. (CIP) process ensuring compliance with the Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR).
  • Maintain the transfers from other grants; Maintain Focus Grant.
  • Submit budget and grant amendments.
  • Arrange multiple parent involvement activities.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and special events and serve on staff committees as required.

Campus Principal Secretarial Responsibilities Records Reports and Correspondence

  • Submit requisitions (including securing multiple quotes for nonEDGAR compliant purchases).
  • Prepare correspondence memorandums forms requisitions and reports for the school office.
  • Maintain a schedule of appointments for the principal.
  • Receive sort and distribute mail and other documents to the principal.
  • Maintain supplies for the school; order supplies as needed; input all information on purchases of supplies and equipment in the computer.
  • Monitor and process personnel time records including leave requests and reports.
  • Assist with new student enrollment; check files for correct information/forms.
  • Prepare class rosters and prepare and process student withdrawals.
  • Perform routine bookkeeping tasks; maintain accurate records of school budget accounts.
  • Prepare process and track all purchase orders and payment authorizations.
  • Maintain petty cash account.
  • Collect all money and process for deposit (field trips school store etc.).
  • Prepare for and organize campus meetings as directed.
  • Update handbooks policy manuals and other documents as directed.
  • Collect and process student schedule request forms; make schedule changes as needed.
  • Print and burst report cards at administration building; distribute to teachers during school year and mail final report card.
  • Prepare and pack all records to be stored at the end of the year; manage the receipt and transfer of student records to appropriate campuses.

Reception and Phones

  • Receive and direct incoming calls take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet visitors (e.g. public parents students substitutes vendors etc.) respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with District and campus policies and procedures regarding building security.
  • Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/or security issues.
  • Receive deliveries and disseminate materials and information to the appropriate parties.
  • Monitor student aides assigned to the front office.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings and special events and serve on staff committees as required.
  • Ensure that all interactions with students District personnel and parents are supportive courteous and respectful.

Policy Reports and Law

  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain systems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compile maintain file and secure all physical and computerized reports records and other required documents.
  • Pursue Professional Development activities for self and assigned staff; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
  • Comply with all policies operating procedures legal requirements and verbal and written directives.
  • Comply with the Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
  • Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Three (3) years of school/campus secretarial experience required
  • Experience in clerical/secretarial environment

  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks often changing assignment on short notice
  • Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate multiline phone system
  • Effective public relations organization communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to effectively present information in oneonone situations
  • Proficient in keyboarding and file maintenance
