We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Data Enablement to join our senior leadership team. This role is perfect for someone eager to Build futurefocused Data Engineering capabilities in with our tools and people to drive the execution of our strategic vision. A bit about the job:
The Head of Data Enablement will lead our enterprise data engineering technology teams in building and maintaining a robust scalable and secure data platform ecosystem. This role is pivotal in ensuring data availability integrity discoverability and operational excellence across the enterprise. The successful candidate will develop automation reusable components and technical capabilities enabling Aviva Data Engineering Teams to deliver at pace.
Additionally you will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data enablement strategy that aligns with the organisations goals
- Lead and mentor a team of highly skilled data engineers fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of a consolidated data platform
- Optimise the build and consumption of capabilities within the function
- Manage the integration of data sources and technologies into our data lakehouse
- Ensure high levels of data availability and integrity focussing on governance practices
- Implement best practices to streamline data workflows and improve platform efficiency
Skills and experience were looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior data engineering or data management role
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data technologies including AWS Data services Snowflake Cloud DBT AWS Managed Apache Airflow Attacama Immuta and Collibra
- Excellent leadership communication collaboration and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Experience with cloudbased data platforms and services
