Your role:
Reporting to the Senior Managing Director for British Columbia the Business Development Manager is a key member of our Vancouverbased team responsible for generating revenue and ensuring exceptional client experiences within our studio facilities from initial contact to successful project completion.
You will be responsible for planning coordinating and directing staff financial and physical resources for external and internal client productions.
You will ensure that the facilities and support services meet the needs of all clients and stakeholders through a datadriven and continuous improvement approach.
Key tasks:
Manage all aspects of external client relationships including generating leads proactively prioritizing multiple requests negotiating terms finalizing contracts invoicing facility preparation and providing security oversight and other onsite logistics
Foster and manage relationships with local cultural community and civic partners
Oversee and manage permanent and casual staff including their recruitment development training certification and scheduling.
Handle administration tasks including invoice/payment processing recordkeeping projections and revenue calculations.
Liaise with Building Management Finance and Legal departments.
Support CBC internal productions for French and English services including meetings with stakeholders followups and risk assessments.
Manage internal facility bookings setups and strikes including handling lastminute requests.
Coordinate internal requests for equipment and access to various spaces.
Oversee facility storage office furniture and asset disposal
Respond to external requests and questions related to facility bookings and other inquiries.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Five (5) years of leadership and staff management experience
Event/production management skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and develop productive working relationships.
Strong understanding of the film industry location management and media production.
Exceptional timemanagement and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and communications skills
Demonstrated experience in project management.
Analytical skills to assess complex situations systems and relationships
Experience leading in a unionized and collective agreement work environment.
Proven budgetary management experience
Knowledge and leadership of Workplace Health and Safety and risk management an asset
French and other language skills (an asset)
Able to work long hours and on weekends as required.
