Your Day to Day:
- Working with the PanCanadian Director (IYSCC) provides leadership in the development project management and implementation of the Integrated Youth Services Collaboration Centre a panCanadian backbone team for existing emerging or proposed networks of IYS centres/hubs in Canadian provinces and territories.
- Leads the development and implementation of a knowledge exchange and mobilization program to support the establishment and growth of the IYS model in all provinces and territories and the delivery and implementation of evidencebased and wise practices for IYS for national and international audiences including policy makers researchers planners clinicians peer support workers youth and families etc.
- Provides leadership and expertise in the development project management and implementation of a workforce education and training program and related strategies and activities that support the IYSCC network and the associated IYS workforce to build their capacity to deliver high quality evidencebased services to young people and their families/caregivers consistent with Integrated Youth Services principles.
- Leverages existing and emerging service delivery clinical and best practice resources across the IYSCC network and partner organizations to implement and evaluate training education and practice support programs that demonstrate high levels of engagement enhanced knowledge increased skills and alignment with the IYS workforce needs and expectation.
- Leads the development project management and implementation of knowledge mobilization strategies and activities that support the meaningful use of evidence and expertise to align research policy and practice in order to improve health and social outcomes for youth and young adults.
- Leads the development planning implementation management and evaluation of knowledge content products communications and promotional materials to support the knowledge synthesis translation and dissemination of evidencebased IYS best practice and expertise into shareable knowledge products (such as webinars videos website contentsocial media reports guides policy briefs and plain language summaries).
- Leads the development and coordination of knowledge exchange and mobilization activities including meetings events communities of practice consultations conferences or summits or other activities either in person or virtual develops materials leads and facilitates discussions and workshops and/or arranges speakers.
- Leads the implementation and enhancement of IYSCC learning systems including the learning management system eLearning authoring tools audiovisual equipment and software.
- Develops and maintains longterm relationships with panCanadian IYS partners and jurisdictions to identify information needs share information and create opportunities for partnership.
- Works to incorporate knowledge needs into processes for the generation of new knowledge alongside IYS researchers evaluators data and practice leaders and incorporate into curricula policies procedures guidelines reference materials learning materials and other knowledge products.
- Identifies and develops indicators to monitor and evaluate uptake and integration of new knowledge courses and learning for intended audiences compiles information and advises on adaptation and further development of the capacity building and knowledge exchange program. Recommends develops and implements improvements to knowledge exchange and mobilization strategies.
- Supports the implementation of strategies/initiatives to advance IYSCCs overarching vision goals and objectives both within the IYSCC network and more broadly to elevate IYSCCs profile and impact as a leader in IYS.
- Develops and manages any projectrelated budget and monitors expenditures to ensure projections and targets are met reporting on any variances.
- Facilitates and maintains relationship between IYSCC and vendors/partners and negotiates contracts to support knowledge mobilization education and training deliverables.
- Provides leadership and direction to own staff including onboarding and orientation professional development coaching and mentoring staff monitoring and evaluating performance of duties and other human resource related duties. If required administers disciplinary action in coordination with Human Resources up to and including termination.
- Plans coordinates and implements special projects as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
