As Editor / Production Designer you will design and establish the continuity pace and artistic/technical elements that make up the editing and visual effects of television products lending unique original added value to them in order to fulfill the desired objectives and artistic intentions. To this end you will plan all phases of visualeffect editing development and creation assessing the work and time required so that you can propose a schedule in line with production needs.
You will also prepare transport set up operate dismantle put away and maintain technical equipment/material ensuring it is in good clean and safe working.
Please note this an on call position.
Job requirements:
Qualifications:
College diploma in Television Production and Postproduction. Techniques or any relevant diploma
Minimum two (2) years experience creating montages
Skills:
Knowledge of the AVID editing system required
Knowledge of postproduction methods
Familiarity with Photoshop and After effects is an asset
Good knowledge of French (spoken and written)
Ability to work effectively on a team
Interpersonal and communication skills
Judgment and creative mind
Keen interest in working in a news environment
Available to work on various shifts (night early mornings days evenings and weekends)
