Job Description

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Economics UNSW Canberra

Employment type: Fixedterm contract fulltime (35 hours per week)
Duration: 2 years
Remuneration: Academic level B/C. Level B from $127947/ Level C from $155403 plus 17% super

Location: UNSW Canberra ADFA Campus.

Why Your Role Matters
UNSW Canberras School of Business delivers multidisciplinary programs and collaborates with other schools at UNSW Canberra Campus. The primary focus of this appointment is to increase the schools capacity for teaching research and higher degree research supervision in Economics and continue to forge multidisciplinary collaborations with other schools in research and teaching. This candidate will report directly to Head of School.

Applicants must have a PhD and should be available to commence teaching in Semester 2 (July 2025).

Accountabilities:

Level B

As a Lecturer in Economics you are expected to contribute to the schools undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the discipline using innovative course design development and delivery approaches. You will also carry out activities to develop your scholarly research and professional activities both nationally and internationally.

Level C

As a Senior Lecturer in Economics you will make significant contributions the schools undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the discipline using highly innovative course design development and delivery approaches You will also be encouraged to develop linkages with researchers from other Schools within UNSW Canberra and with the broader scholarly and practitioner communities as well as provide leadership to postdoctoral and PhD students. A Senior Lecturer will conduct highquality research and make a significant contribution to educational excellence in the School and Faculty.
