Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our Human Resources team as the HR Manager to lead our Brisbane Fulfillment Centre site.

This will be a 12 month parental leave fixed term role.

Reporting the the Regional HR Manager you will provide full cycle human resources support to our Brisbane Amazon Fulfillment Center. Leading a team of 5 HR professionals you will play a critical role in executing our people initiatives providing excellent internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement initiatives.

As a HR Manager you will have the ability to diagnose problems identify and drive appropriate solutions. The person in this role must be able to interface effectively with professionals at all levels. You will need excellent communication skills strategic thinking and planning ability and the agility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.

You will enjoy a varied role and a wide range of interactions across all levels on a daily basis. You will get exposure to many different aspects of the business and have the opportunity to work on national/international HR projects.

What you will be doing:

Work closely with operations teams to provide pragmatic commercial and employeefocused advice and support
Provide a broad range of support across employee relations people engagement performance management talent management organizational development and organizational communication
Implement HR initiatives to drive and maintain a culture of excellent employee relations and communication
Leading and developing a team of high performing HR professionals
Coaching and mentoring of leaders from across the Fulfillment Center teams
Proactive gathering of data from appropriate sources to drive decision making
Maintain an emphasis on continuous improvement and best practices to be shared with other Fulfillment Center teams
Collaborate effectively across an number of internal and external teams including Finance Payroll Legal
Ability to support a 24/7 environment that has multiple shifts and a staffing ramp during our seasonal peak in the fourth quarter. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings.

Proven HR experience in a similar role ideally within a high volume fast paced and customer focused environment
Prior experience leading coaching and mentoring direct reports
Possess problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short medium and longterm plans
Be able to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels
Have a proven handson attitude and be flexible and adaptable.
Demonstrate the ability to motivate others and influence work behaviors
Have strong change management communication negotiation and influencing skills
Be intellectually curious; bring valuable insight into the team / business
A completed Bachelors Degree from an accredited university

Prior experience supporting hourly employee client groups (distribution manufacturing or call center environments)
Ability to adapt well to fastpaced environments with changing circumstances direction and strategy
