Job Description Summary

Responsible for multiple Data and Analytics Platforms initiatives as a project leader or internal consultant. Will work on highly complex software projects that require indepth domain knowledge or two or more specialized architecture areas.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line on the data consumption side.
  • Drive holistic Platform analytics on the consumer side and hence improving observability and lineage.
  • Analyze design and develop a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
  • Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team.
  • Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives.
  • Define and maintain BI and analytic KPIs measuring platform adoption customer experience and performance.
  • Implement MLOps best practices ensuring deployment and monitoring of AI/ML models.
  • Define and implement an endtoend observability for data consumption services ( BI & Advanced analytics).
  • Drive overall architecture vision on the data consumption services and being the single point for AMS services on data consumption side.
  • Develop holistic EVM strategy and help drive implementation.
  • Establish governance in architecture practices including Gitops & CI/CD.
  • Contribute to the development & enhancements of data consumption platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods.
    Improve customer experience and platform adoption for BI & Analytics platform.
  • Lead the architecture design & implementations across multiple teams including Dataiku Spotfire and Starfish.
  • Drive new POCs in BI & Analytics domains with new tools such as Power BI.
  • Leverage AWS services across platforms to enhance service offerings and drive synergy.

Technical Skills:

  • Depth of experience with BI and Analytic platforms such as Spotfire Data virtualization (TDV) and Dataiku.
  • Strong experience in software engineering and Webaps.
  • Proficiency in Windows & Linux environments.
  • Depth of knowledge in data lake concepts
  • Very strong SQL skillset
  • Very strong Python skillset
  • Handson experience with AWS. Depth of knowledge in AWS EKS
  • Depth of knowledge of Spark and distributed processing execution
  • Depth of knowledge in AWS and S3
  • Experience automating manual processes
  • Deep experience with information/data architecture
  • Deep experience with data engineering
  • Knowledge about data science concepts
  • Experience with data visualization/Webapps
  • Experience with IT process automation.
  • Proven ability to teach technical concepts to those without a technical background
  • Approachable and able/willing to answer questions from users with a wide variety of backgrounds


Education Qualification

  • Bachelors degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in BI/ML and software engineering.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirement:

  • Knowledgeable of full range of solution catalog within a business unit and able to discuss overall solution at depth.
  • Experience sustaining operational stability through various life cycle phases (planning implementation steady state decommissioning); Ability to provision and budget via capital and operating.
  • Able to lead early stage customer interactions; Guide customers as they develop confidence and comfort with approaches and integrate with their legacy tech investments.

  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding peoples roles can foresee obstacles identify workarounds leverage resources and rally teammates.
  • Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement
  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes
  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for crossfunctional teams to utilize using presentation and storytelling concepts.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.
