Special Education TeacherJob DescriptionMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a compassionate studentcentered Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. This individual will manage a caseload of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans ensuring all services are delivered in full compliance with each students needs and legal ResponsibilitiesProvide both direct and indirect instructional support tailored to students IEPs and 504 Plans within a structured inclusive learning and communicate clear measurable learning objectives for all specialized instructional methods to support development in areas such as language cognition sensory integration motor skills and differentiated academic instruction using techniques such as phonics multisensory learning and repetition to address diverse learning a positive respectful classroom environment by reinforcing schoolwide behavioral expectations and accurate detailed records including service logs lesson plans and student progress data in accordance with school policy and legal as case manager and main point of contact for assigned students; lead IEP meetings and collaborate with families and service and submit quarterly progress reports for each student on your participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary planning with general education teachers and related service with parents administrators and support staff to develop implement and monitor individualized educational programs that support student the administration of standardized assessments ensuring proper accommodations are in in ongoing professional development and curriculum planning to maintain and enhance instructional on additional schoolwide responsibilities as assigned (e.g. dismissal duties document shredding).RequirementsBachelors degree in Special Education (required)SEI Endorsement (required)Strong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to assess student needs and design effective interventionsCollaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skillsExperience interpreting assessment data to inform instructionKnowledge of special education laws best practices and effective instructional strategiesProficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and 504 PlansStrong classroom management and organizational abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to supporting diverse learnersSuccessful completion of applicable MTEL exams within one year of hireThis position reports to the Head of Special Education and is an annual appointment subject to yearly performance Opportunity StatementMystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
