About the Team
The Data Platform team builds the foundation that powers everything from Stitch Fixs signature personalization to our most cuttingedge AI innovations. We exist to make our data scientists and engineers wildly productive by delivering fast flexible and trusted infrastructure that fuels experimentation recommendations insights and now a whole new generation of AI/MLpowered experiences.
About the Role
As a Data Platform Engineer youll evolve Stitch Fixs modern data stack to support the next wave of AI/MLpowered products analytics and knowledge systems. This is a highimpact individual contributor role on the Data Platform team.
Youll help make our data platform easier to scale easier to find information in and more reliable as we build AI into our workflows. Youll work with teams across the company to make sure our systems can support smarter automation and deliver better insights.
Youre excited about this opportunity because you will
- Evolve our core data stack (Spark Trino Iceberg Kafka Flink) to meet the scale and latency demands of AI workloads
- Define and implement observability lineage and access standards for our data products and AI applications
- Support critical data pipelines while creating abstractions that simplify enduser interactions
- Unify workflows from data ingestion to model serving ensuring a shared foundation for feature stores ML observability and semantic modeling
Were excited about you because
- You have 58 years of experience building cloudscale data infrastructure or ML platforms
- Youre handson with Spark SQL and Python and/or Scala with strong experience building scalable APIs and services
- You understand streaming systems such as Kafka or Flink and how to design for realtime insights
- You have experience with orchestration systems CI/CD and production monitoring
- Youre interested in defining data product standards governancebydesign and AI observability metrics
- Youre detailoriented curious and passionate about building infrastructure people love to use

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary benefits and equity. The salary for USbased employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someones compensationincluding a candidates professional background experience location and position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance.
