Job Description

Staff IVS Nurse Angiography Suit (Bank)

Leeds Angiography Bank Contract Ad hoc

Up to 25 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Angiography Nurse to join our Bank Staff in support of our Interventional Suite as we strive to be a true centre of excellence. If you specialise in Angiography and Endovascular Interventions there has never been a better time to join the team in Leeds. In addition to the roles of scrub nurse the successful candidate will have opportunities to further their knowledge as a Preassessment nurse.

As an IVS Staff Nurse you must:

  • Be a UK resident and have right to work permission

  • Be registered with the NMC and have at least 2year experience in a busy Angiography lab

  • Have competencies in Phlebotomy Cannulation and Intravenous drug administration

  • Be BLS/ILS certified

  • Possess a vast knowledge in Cardiology Peripheral Vascular and Neurovascular diseases and their treatment

  • Have a very good understanding of Radiation protection.

You will :

  • Fully understand and pay close attention to each patients needs

  • Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around in a close knit teamheaded by our Head of Cardiology

  • Gain valuable experience of new practices equipment and facilities

  • Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

  • Be highly motivated and have an excellent interpersonal communication and IT skills

  • Have a flexible approach to working pattern is essential

  • Be compliant with safety standards of the Association for Perioperative Practice and adherence with the Royal College of Nursing Core Competencies for Imaging Nurses.
