We formulate holistic strategies for value creation and redesign procurement operating models incorporating key elements such as risk management and sustainability in the Supply Chain. Our approach encompasses a spectrum of levers including demand and specifications management category strategy supplier relationship management business partnering and performance management. We go beyond achieving elusive cost savings by ensuring our clients maximize their competitive advantage through the implementation of innovative sustainable and datadriven sourcing solutions across the entire procurement value chain. Furthermore our strategies extend to generating topline results fostering revenue growth and enhancing overall business performance through Procurement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Oliver Wyman is a diverse entrepreneurial noncompetitive partnership of individuals who like to pursue new opportunities or build a unique franchise doing what they do best in a collegial fun environment.
ASSOCIATES will break down complex problems into discrete tasks identifying the key aspects of a problem and directing the focus of junior consultants to those elements. You will effectively plan and execute analysis as well as identify the core issues in complex analyses to be able to craft suitable recommendations. You will work side by side with clients and your project team members to move projects forward and manage small teams to get the work done. Clients and colleagues look to Associates for unique insight into the subject area which they have chosen.
ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS are the onscene leaders who run our projects day to day. You will lead the team through an efficient and effective problemsolving process from initial thought process through convergence on a solution. You will ensure that recommendations are correct practical sensible relevant and cohesive. Its a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level and command of all the technical and operational details of execution. You will need great communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Just as every client project is different so we recognize and value the diversity of backgrounds and skillsets for successful candidates. We are seeking highcaliber individuals who want to join our winning team. Preference will be given to candidates with:
Associates 35 / Engagement Managers 57 years of relevant experience ideally with a toptier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization)
Extensive expertise in consulting optionally significant experience in a strategic procurement function within a reputable industrial company
Indepth knowledge in selected areas such as procurement strategy development operating model design cost optimization and restructuring supplier relationship management risk management sustainable sourcing or digital procurement solutions
A strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
Fluency in English and German is required
Advanced graduate degree and excellent academic record
Willingness to travel
Know how to take the initiative seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones youve already got to good use
Not just intelligence but creativity too: youll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients biggest problems
A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team
