Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegree in an accredited college or university preferably in Education Public Relations Nonprofit Management Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience:Three (3)years of administrative and teaching experience
- Currently possesses a Florida Educators Certificate
- Experience in the coordination of largescale events
- Proficiency in digital productivity tools including Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Slides Forms).
- Experience planning and facilitating professional development or training for educators and staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required for community events and engagement activities.
- Experience supporting school choice initiatives or enrollment processes.
Job Description:
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting district departments and schools with legislatively required Family Engagement components. It will be responsible for ensuring that infrastructure is in place to seamlessly engage families looking for CCDS educational opportunities. The Coordinator will develop a resource base for schools and district departments seeking to connect students and school programs to the community.
Responsibilities and Duties of this Position Include:
- Coordinates with internal departments to support legislatively required Family and Community Engagement components that require submissions to FDOE
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders and audits infrastructure to ensure that initial engagement and enrollment of families is barrierfree
- Coordinates with Communications to create marketing agendas to engage students to attend CCDS schools with the goal of attending through graduation
- Coordinates with nonCCDS schools that top outbefore12th grade to support students and families looking to transition to a CCDS school
- Supports families seeking guidance on School Choice options within CCDS
- Coordinates with external partnerships to develop opportunities for schools to take student work events performances etc. out to the community
- Coordinates with external partnerships to develop and maintain a detailed listing of external venues available to schools and departments to enhance opportunities for largescale events and provides support for the contract process for use of the venues
- Creates and maintains FACE informational resources for schools and school leaders that are easily accessible in the form of a portal tile hyperdocs and technical assistance guides
- Coordinates with the Communications Department to put out FACE information to stakeholders
- Coordinates with the Communications Department to support schoollevel personnel to develop and successfully implement community partnerships.
- Supports connecting school service clubs with opportunities in CCDS and in the community
- Supports the planning implementation and oversight of student enrichment experiencesincluding field trips summer programs and special eventsand ensures all related handbooks guidelines and procedures are current and aligned with district policies.
- Oversees the volunteer registration system process and handbook to ensure all state laws are followed
- Assists the Superintendents office to prepare State of Schools presentation and venue
- Collects and analyzes family engagement data (e.g. enrollment and withdrawal reports surveys event participation feedback forms) to guide program and process improvements
- Participates in the development of districtwide strategic goals related to family and community engagement.
- Aligns FACE activities with broader district priorities such as attendance graduation and academic success.
- Represents CCDS at school and community events to foster relationships promote district initiatives and support family and community engagement efforts
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
- Mastersdegree in an accredited college or university.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to use social media platforms
- Experience in a Canvatype platform for the creation of flyers and reports
- Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. Synergy FOCUS) or other school data platforms.
- Experience working directly with diverse student populations and their families in a school or nonprofit setting.
