Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Engineering Design Team Managerto support our business in Springfield VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.
This position will work onsite leading a crossfunctional team of approximately 20engineers architects and designers. This team will create designs for facility enhancement projects. The successful candidatewill be stepping into a tremendously successful program and have opportunities for career growth.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead an inhouse team of design professionals by inspiring them and optimizing their performance
- Deliver architectural and engineering designs in support of our programs Statement of Work and additional projects that are awarded
- Provide worldclass customer service to our government partners and lead missionsupporting upgrades to their facilities and sites
- Assess and lead site space planning initiatives
- Drive standardization for the designs we deliver
- Manages develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to obtain an Adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph prestart
- 2 years experience formally leading personnel
- Customer Service experience
- Bachelors degree in an engineeringarchitecturalor related discipline
- Experience with AutoCAD Archibus or SAP
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 years experience formally leading personnel
- PMP certification
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia
- Masters degree in engineering architectural or related discipline
