Job Description

Grade 123/ Placement range $33406.50 to $38179.00.

This position is parttime (.5 FTE) and not eligible for benefits.

The Grants and Program Manager plays a critical role on a schools leadership team and the Phoenix #1s mission of inspiring success for every student. The Grants and Program Manager is responsible for managing monitoring and reporting grant program activities including budget tracking and progress in meeting grant deliverables. A disciplined strategic thinker with an equity lens The Grants and Program Manager also evaluates programs to ensure their success within school communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide services essential to the preparation supervision and management of budgets regarding grant funded programs and provides oversight for program budgets and requisitions.
  • Provide program evaluation and conduct ongoing needs assessment evaluation and continuous updates of District and Schools Integrated Action Plans.
  • Effectively ensure all reporting applications and completion of grant requirement including providing all necessary information for external audits maintaining continuous internal audits and utilizing appropriate USFR codes for all expenditures.
  • Understand regulations and requirements related to federal programs grants and budget management including allowable costs for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A87 ESSA requirements time and effort attestations and monthly logs supplement and supplanting requirements.
  • Track and prepare monthly budget reports of expenditures and requests in collaboration with the Principal and maintain all documentation related to grant program budgets including budget totals for salaries and benefits.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure proper adherence to procurement policies sole source documentation billing and invoicing of services by processing travel reimbursement requests.
  • Review process and approve travel reimbursement requests timecards extra time reports and provide other office responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED.

Coursework or two or more years of experience in budget preparation accounting or grant management.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree.

Five or more years of experience writing and administering grant programs including managing budgets tracking and reporting evaluation metrics coordinating activities.

Knowledge of:

  • Best practices managing program grants policies compliance program implementation and procedures.
  • Grants Management Enterprises and ADE Connect in working with District and School Integrated Action Plans.

Skilled in:

  • Providing welcoming and effective support to school and district personnel through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Using various forms of software technology and online programs to support planning budgeting monitoring and compliance.

Ability to:

  • Work with school and district leaders to give direction and ensure grant compliance is met.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse group or stakeholders.
  • Manage and complete large projects that occur simultaneously while prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
