Job Description
We are searching for an experienced Production Group Lead to join our team in the Texarkana TX area for immediate employment. The ideal candidate is a selfmotivated individual with previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
Position: Production Group Lead
Department: Operations Manufacturing
Reports to: Production Manager
Scope: Responsible for Supervising all Production Line Leads. Work closely with the Production Manager to increase productivity efficiency and profitability within the Manufacturing Operations of Sterno Products. Provide leadership management coaching and development for employees ensuring objectives and expectations are set and met. Create partnerships within each department to align with the overall Sterno Products Company Priorities & Culture.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise daytoday production schedules
- Collaborate with Production Planning to ensure materials are delivered promptly
- Supervise Line Leads and Production Staff
- Manage training and development of production staff & Line Leads
- Manage budget and utilize operational resources participate in safety program development
- Ensure that all Corporate and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must speak effectively and interact with employees other department managers and senior management and be respected throughout the organization.
- Leadership Skills: Must motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly.
- ProblemSolving Skills: Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it such as identifying defects in the production line.
- Time Management: Must meet production deadlines shipping dates and manage their time accordingly.
- All Other Duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- 5 Years Manufacturing Experience
- Forklift Certified
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual a plus
- Energetic and Positive Team Player who encourages others and takes Pride in the Company
Details of Employment:
- 90Day Probation Period
- At Will Employment
- Dress Appropriate to Position See Supervisor
- Slipresistant shoes are required in All Manufacturing Locations
- Must Participate and Comply with All Company Policies
- Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
