As a Product Manager in J.P. Morgan Payments you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the endtoend product life cycle. As a core leader you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground you guide the successful launch of products gather crucial feedback and ensure toptier client experiences. The Transactional Credit Management (TCM) team is a newly formed global team that has a followthesun model supporting the Payments organization. The TCM team is responsible for the 1LOD Payments frameworks and internal policies that define the businessowned risk appetites across payments products and verticals covering both Creditmanaged and nonCreditmanaged clients. The team functions as an internal clearing house (InBusiness Risk) within the Payments businesses for items pertaining to risk management. Partnering with internal First Line of Defense partners (Product Product Development Technology Sales Operations etc.) and working in close partnership with Second Line of Defense partners (Credit Risk Management Credit Risk Middle Office Compliance Treasury etc.) to ensure coordinated processes that have beneficial outcomes for the firm while also driving positive client experiences. The team functions as Subject Matter Experts across the payment verticals including but not limited to Liquidity & Account Solutions (L&AS) Clearing Foreign Exchange Receivables Public Sector and Commercial Card and various technology platforms. The team reports into the Head of Transactional Credit Management and will be part of the Liquidity & Account Solutions (L&AS) organization within J.P. Morgan Payments.
Job responsibilities
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Owns maintains and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Builds the framework and tracks the products key success metrics such as cost feature and functionality risk posture and reliability
- Partners with Credit Risk Credit Risk Middle Office and functional teams across Payments to plan and execute tactical and strategic roadmap for endtoend management of onboarding/offboarding protocol for nonCreditmanaged clients
- Establishes and executes governance framework in partnership with functional teams across Payments to monitor nonCreditmanaged client populations globally to ensure accurate and timely onboarding/offboarding and identifies opportunities for refinement
- Coordinates in partnership with Transaction Approval Group / Transaction Risk Management and other Payments partners on development and implementation of business rules approval and escalation process and operating model for intraday transaction decisioning for nonCreditmanaged clients
- Develops in partnership with Exposure Management governance monitoring and reporting on processes above relating to nonCreditmanaged clients
- Collaborates with Product Development and Technology in the identification and submission of technical requirements for strategic funds control platform development
- Communicates strategic operating model changes and TCM team remit to regional internal and clientfacing stakeholders (Sales Client Service Operations)
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Expertise in product management credit risk management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle design and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery ideation strategic development requirements definition and value management
- Technical proficiency in handling and navigating systems large data sets and analytics
- Serve as a subject matter expert across payment verticals
- Strong organizational and communications skills
- Keen ability to navigate across a broad set of global functional stakeholders to solve problems and influence outcomes
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed complex organization
- Paymentsrelated credit risk or transactional credit risk management experience
