Our client is seeking a Tailings Engineer to join their growing team and play a critical role in delivering innovative and responsible tailings and mine waste solutions to clients across the globe.
Duties & Responsibilities
About the Role:
As a Tailings Engineer youll be involved in the full lifecycle of tailings management from concept design and feasibility studies to detailed engineering construction support and closure planning. Youll work closely with a team of skilled engineers and scientists while also interacting directly with clients on complex highimpact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analysis of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and mine waste management systems
Perform geotechnical and hydrological assessments
Prepare technical reports design drawings and specifications
Conduct site investigations inspections and audits
Liaise with clients to develop tailored practical solutions
Support permitting and regulatory compliance processes
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledgesharing
About You:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Geotechnical or Mining Engineering (or related field)
5 years of experience in tailings engineering ideally within a consulting or mining environment
Strong understanding of TSF design dam safety and regulatory frameworks
Skilled in geotechnical software (e.g. GeoStudio Slide FLAC PLAXIS)
