Position Duties:
Shall be responsible for providing cardiology and interventional cardiology consultative services for cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures including but not limited pericardiocentesis endocardial biopsies placement of intraaortic balloon devices and percutaneous revascularization procedures including: balloon angioplasty atherectomy endoluminal stenting intravascular ultrasound intracoronary Doppler flow velocity measurements rhyolitic thrombectomy and management of patients prior to during and following their percutaneous revascularization procedure high risk coronary and peripheral vascular percutaneous procedures.
Clinic Hours : Monday Friday from 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m
On Call must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA residents and physicians. Oncall providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone and onsite within 60 minutes.
DEA: shall provide copy of current DEA certificate.
Requirements:
Shall be Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support current certification using American Heart Association or the American Red Cross guidelines in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
Any State License is accepted.
