of Job Duties:The Senior Graduate Assistant will assist with communicating and interacting with prospective international undergraduate and international and domestic graduate students. Graduate Assistants are also responsible for all duties assigned by the Office of Graduate and International Recruitment. All GAs have primary areas of responsibility but work in a team to provide excellent service to prospective students as well as faculty and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule/coordinate prospective student campus visits with academic departments and recruiters
Manage and respond to recruitment inquiries
Maintain inventory of recruitment promotional materials
Assist with recruitment events registration and tabling
Communicate effectively with supervisors staff and faculty
Participate in recruitment panels and campaigns
Any other duties as necessary

Regular reliable and nondisruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.

The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours a week. The GA will perform duties at the Graduate School as well as elsewhere on campus as needed to meet the goals of the program.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an earned bachelors from an accredited institution

  • Must be admitted to a graduate school program at the University of ArkansasFayetteville

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced office environment as well as work and collaborate with diverse groups in a professional multicultural setting

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Evidence of past leadership roles and ability to take initiative in a professional setting

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
