Job Description

Newport School District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic High School Math Teacherto deliver instruction for students participating in the Summer Credit Recovery Program. The ideal candidate will support students in regaining course credit in foundational high school math subjects including Algebra I Geometry and Algebra II through targeted instruction and competencybased Responsibilities:Provide direct instruction in high school math courses for students needing credit or implement curriculum aligned with district standards and credit recovery instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners including students with IEPs or 504 and assess student progress providing regular feedback and online platforms and digital tools as appropriate for instruction and with summer school staff and communicate with students and families as accurate records of attendance grading and student :Valid NH Secondary Math Teaching Certification (or eligibility for certification).Experience teaching high schoollevel math (Algebra Geometry etc.).Familiarity with credit recovery models competencybased learning and online learning tools is classroom management and interpersonal to support students in an accelerated and supportive summer learning environment.
