AGL Delivery Finance NA is responsible for last mile transportation spend across Amazon Fresh (FCs & Stores) Whole Foods Market and Grocery Partnerships. The AGL Delivery Finance team seeks a Finance Manager. This role is responsible for key forecasting and reconciliation processes to develop and implement a long range business plan develop key processes around the organizations goals and to lead financial analyses of major business events.
This role partners closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders across retail and operations teams in order to designs develops and maintain performance measurements and reports on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
The successful candidate will influence business owners support thoughtful decisionmaking and adapt to a rapidlyevolving environment. They collaborate with executives and various business units across Amazon. They bring excellent verbal and written communication skills. They prioritize the most impactful projects and programs that will drive Amazon Grocery forward. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative solutions with largescale data mining tools identifying the highpriority work and projects that maximize results for key stakeholders and solving complex problems that effect companywide strategic decisions.
Key job responsibilities
Identifies basic control risks evaluates impact proposes changes and implements improvements to remediate gaps
Delivers weekly/monthly financial close.
Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data identifies root causes of data issues escalates discrepancies fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
Communicates data (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
Identifies and implements solutions to resolve improve automate standardize or simplify finance processes.
Drives own selfdevelopment in the Finance Community. Participates in events initiatives and projects then shares gained knowledge in and outside of your team.
Contributes to work life harmony by being a positive collaborative and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.
BA or BS in Finance Accounting Business Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering Math Computer Science)
5 years of finance experience or Masters degree and 3 years of finance experience
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
