Job Description
Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment specialist recruiting Allied Health Professionals of all bands and specialties for long and shortterm locum roles throughout the UK.
Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with Speech & Language Therapy Assistants to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland.
As such we are now recruiting on behalf of the South Eastern Trust for a Band 4 Speech & Language Therapy Assistant to work in the Downpatrick Schools Team. This role will include management of children on an individual and/or group basis as well as administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Speech and Language Therapy Service.
This role will require 30 hours cover per week over a 5 day working week and will be for a temporary duration of 12 months (ending approx. March 2026).
Requirements
NVQ 3 in Child Care or equivalent in relevant area plus 2 years relevant experience
Alternatively HNC/D in relevant subject or equivalent plus 1 years relevant experience
Experience in the UK working with clients with communication difficulties & ability to communicate with clients with poor communication skills
Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK & access to own car
Right to Work in the UK
