Job Description

Caledonia Central Supervisory UnionPosition Description Director of Curriculum Instruction and AssessmentQualifications: Licensed as an administrator by the state of Vermont with a Curriculum Director experience and training in curriculum development instructional strategies and the utilization of assessment in facilitating diverse stakeholder communicator across various formats and understanding of current researchbased practices educational standards proficiencies and the planning and implementation of professional in navigating the change process within educational to: Superintendent of Schools or their designeePosition Summary: The Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment provides strategic leadership while aligning with the mission and vision of CCSU. This role entails collaborating with the Superintendent(s) on longrange planning for curriculum instruction and assessment including the design of professional learning initiatives to support these objectives. Decisions and initiatives are grounded in thorough analysis and interpretation of student data. The Director will lead the Supervisory Union and its member districts in comprehensive planning for continuous improvement. Additionally the directors responsibility is to oversee the Consolidated Federal Responsibilities: Provide strategic professional development opportunities that enhance instructional practices and support educators in implementing curriculum initiatives data analysis and assessment outcomes to inform decisionmaking monitor program effectiveness and identify areas for curriculum abreast of emerging research trends and best practices in curriculum development and educational technology closely with principals teachers and educational leaders to ensure curriculum materials and resources are current effective and support diverse learning the superintendent(s) and principals in the development implementation and assessment of the CCSU continuous improvement and implement with the support of principals and instructional leaders a comprehensive and balanced local common assessment system Develop and implement with the support of principals and instructional leaders a coordinated curriculum to ensure equitable access to high quality rigorous standards and learning and provide knowledge of governmental statutes regulation and rules relating to curriculum administrationPrepare and present district curriculum reports that are required by law or are requested by the the design and implementation of professional learning activities to ensure they are aligned with the instructional as the district administrator for VTCAP and local assessmentsStudy evaluate and recommend adoption of instructional materials methods and programs with the collaboration and input of others when the support of principals implement a teacher induction and mentoring with other Directors and Superintendent(s) in the development of systems programs and professional learning to support MTSS in our process for professional leave and participation in workshops conferences and course the Consolidated Federal Titles Program and the BEST/ ACT 230 grants and ensure compliance with each grant of Employment: Contract salary and benefits as prescribed by the Caledonia Central SU upon recommendation of the : Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent.
