Our challenge

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software architecture and design with expertise in Java Spring Boot Hibernate SQL NoSQL Kafka Angular and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. The Java Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable and robust banking applications ensuring high performance security and compliance with industry standards.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh PA / Dallas TX is$120k $130k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design develop and implement highquality software solutions using Java and associated frameworks.
• Architect scalable and resilient applications leveraging Spring Boot Hibernate and microservices architecture.
• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data management and retrieval.
• Integrate messaging systems like Kafka for realtime data processing and communication.
• Develop frontend web applications using Angular ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and improve software delivery.
• Lead architectural discussions code reviews and provide guidance to development teams.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development security and performance optimization.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the banking sector.

Requirements:

• Experience level 12 Years in Java related technologies.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Architect preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong proficiency in Java Spring Boot Hibernate and RESTful web services.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB).
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Handson experience with frontend technologies particularly Angular.
• Proficient in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure including architecture and deployment strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI) and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred but not required:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) is a plus.
