Job Description

Post Op: Reviews Postoperative instructions with patient. Actively involves the patient or designated support person in decisions affecting his or her postoperative plan of care. Care for patients who are recovering from anesthesia after surgery. Monitor postoperation vital signs assess levels of consciousness and carefully observe patients for any side effects from Op: Responsible for the admission and preoperative care of the surgical patient. Records baseline hemodynamic status: gathers preoperative vital signs; Blood Pressure EKG monitoring oximetry readings and documentation of such on preoperative record. Identifies arrhythmias and notifies medical team members of Day Surgery: Assess the patient and resources and plan for the scheduled surgery. Assist surgeons and other health care professionals with outpatient surgery procedures. Duties include setting up IVs monitoring patients before and after surgery and providing advice on home care
