Location/Division Specific InformationOur global Clinical Operations colleagues within our PPD clinical research services provide endtoend support for clinical trials from study start up to monitoring through to study close out across commercial and government contracts. Together we help clients define and develop clinical programs minimize delays and execute highquality costefficient clinical Impactful Work:Supervises the technical staff and the technical operations of the department to ensure proper staff accountability operational consistency and proper execution of a studys technical procedures.A day in the Life:Serves as a technical consultant in the planning and execution of study conduction workflows and the technical aspects and operation of study conduction in the clinic and makes any necessary technical adjustments to ensure staff efficiency while simultaneously protecting data integrity and the weekly scheduling and study conduction assignments of staff to meet the operational needs of the staff accountability and consistency in the execution of their respective duties and management of their working hours within and directs quarterly departmental staff meetings. Develops the operational and training agendas for monthly mentor meetings. Performs other duties as assignedKeys to Success: EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years).1 year of leadership responsibilityIn some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the Skills AbilitiesGeneral knowledge of the clinical research processGeneral knowledge of Phase I Clinic operationsProficient computer skills including Microsoft OfficeGood written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to analyze complex dataEffective problem solving and critical thinking skillsAttention to detail and organizational capabilitiesEffective timemanagement and multitasking skillsAbility to work well in a collaborative team environmentPhysical Requirements / Work Environment Work is performed in an office and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious protective equipment may be required such as protective eyewear garments and to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare works at a fast pace under varying time constraintsFrequently requires working on multiple priorities simultaneouslyPhysical Requirements:Frequently vertical and /or stationary for 68 hours per hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast simple repeated movements of the fingers hands and wrists. Frequent mobility bending and twisting of upper body and to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 1520 lbs. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both inhouse and to communicate moderately complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others relates sensitive information to diverse to apply basic principles to solve conceptual a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multitask.
