The Montgomery County School Board Virginia is now accepting applications for a Germanteaching position that is available for the 202526school year at Blacksburg High/Christiansburg High School (split position).

Primary Responsibilities:

To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teachers License with the appropriate endorsement to teach German at the high school level
• Have experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
• Have experience and expertise in using technology in education
• Have experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction collaboration and course work
• Have effective written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with parents and families
• Demonstrate the ability to be dependable and punctual
• Demonstrate the ability to work and collaborate with a team of other teachers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Earned masters degree in Germanor an earned masters degree in Education to include eighteen graduate semester hours inGerman
• Experienced or have working familiarity with virtual education
• Experience in teaching creative writing and journalism
• Experience with dual enrollment
