What youll do
As a UI developer in Macro Front Office Technology at Point72 you will be responsible for building out bestinclass features components and enduser applications essential to the consumption manipulation and visualization of a range of analytics developed by the Macro Technology group. Your focus will be primarily on realtime analytics for P&L and risk as well as other kinds of complex pretrade analysis across a broad range of asset classes. Specifically you will:
- Develop new features and components within an existing realtime React based application suite
- Collaborate with our product design and backend engineering teams to create intuitive and efficient user experiences that meet the demanding needs of a wide range of stakeholders
- Optimize thirdparty libraries for maximum performance across a range of webcapable devices including mobile
- Integrate realtime streams with the ability to dynamically slice and dice and visualize such data
- Participate in code reviews providing and receiving constructive feedback to drive standards. Contribute to architectural discussions in the context of an increasingly sophisticated application suite
- Troubleshoot and resolve UIrelated issues ensuring a smooth user experience
Whats required
We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer with strong coding abilities rigorous mathematical problemsolving skills and experience in P&L and risk systems or in another front office development capacity.
- Bachelors degree in mathematics Physics computer science engineering finance or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI Engineer or similar role with a strong portfolio of Reactbased projects
- A strong attention to detail and a passion for creating frictionless and aesthetically satisfying user interfaces
- Proficiency in the following programming languages. JavaScript HTML CSS TypeScript
- Familiarity with realtime data processing and its integration into third party visualization libraries
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux MobX RxJS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders
