The Clinical Nurse (Identified) will deliver highlevel nursing care leadership and advocacy within Metro South Sexual Health Service with a specific focus on culturally safe and accessible services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. The role includes specialist care in STI screening and treatment HIV management community outreach youth clinics education and health promotion. The nurse will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to improve sexual health outcomes for mob.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver culturally safe personcentred care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Conduct STI and HIV testing contact tracing treatment and followup.
Coordinate and facilitate outreach services including youth and communitybased sexual health clinics.
Provide clinical leadership support and mentoring to other nursing staff.
Develop and deliver health promotion and education materials in partnership with community.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve access and equity.
Maintain documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Engage in continuous quality improvement service development and research.
Hours of Work:
Parttime: 64 hours per fortnight
Preferred working days: Tuesday to Friday
Hours: 7:30am 4:00pm (Tues Thurs) 8:00am 4:30pm (Friday)

Requirements
Must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander under s25 of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
Experience in sexual and reproductive health HIV or women s health.
Strong understanding of cultural safety social determinants of health and First Nations community engagement.
Highlevel clinical decisionmaking problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Valid Cclass driver s licence.
Vaccinated against MMR varicella pertussis and Hepatitis B (mandatory).
Desirable Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification or currently studying in relevant field (e.g. sexual health Indigenous health).
Completion of Immunisation Program Nurse training.
Queensland Cervical Screening Program (NonMedical Pap Smear Provider)
