Job Description

K8 Music TeacherSaint Mary School in Shrewsbury is seeking a qualified Music classroom teacher with elementary and middle school experience to join our school community which provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for our students. The ideal candidate will be a creative energetic and compassionate educator who serves as a positive role model of Catholic values and :Bachelors degree is required at a minimum; Masters degree preferredValid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification Prior experience as an elementary and middle school Music teacherProfessional Responsibilities:The successful candidate will:Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the schoolWork under the general supervision of the Principal and Assistant PrincipalUse effective varied and engaging instructional methods and strategiesLead our school choir programWork with the faculty in organizing the music for our school Masses throughout the yearWork with the faculty in organizing and planning the Music for our winter and spring concertsMotivate and engage students as active participants in the learning processDifferentiate instruction to meet each students unique learning needsPossess exceptional classroom management skillsCreate a classroom culture of kindness and respect with high expectations for learningDemonstrate strong organizational communication and interpersonal skillsIntegrate technology into classroom instruction including Google ClassroomCollaborate with other teachers to support students and enhance instruction Communicate with parents regarding academic behavioral and safety concernsDemonstrate professionalism in conduct demeanor and work habitsPerform additional duties and responsibilities as outlined by the Principal
