Job Description:

Serve as the primary planner facilitator and coordinator and educator for all Digital Imaging (DI) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) projects. Ensure the successful ongoing operation troubleshooting and maintenance of the PACS with minimal oversight. Coordinates and works closely with IS Physicians external vendors Radiology and other ancillary department personnel as well as Technology and Application staff as needed to facilitate installation or new systems and resolve ongoing support issues with existing systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree required Bachelors degree preferred in healthcare or IT related field. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or related certification required.
At least three (3) years of experience demonstrating knowledge of Radiology principles and imaging techniques as they apply to the daily operation or the department.
Proficiency in office automation systems (MS Office applications) including word processing spreadsheet and project planning software.
Working knowledge of modality interfacing methods DICOM functionality HL7 HIPAA and integration techniques.
Understanding of imaging data transfer storage and network requirements.
Understanding of RIS HIS systems functionality and technical integration required. Knowledge of IHE stands preferred.
Works to ensure that information is disseminated from all levels and effectively communicated to all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Knowledge of all operations in a highvolume radiology department required.
