TENNIS INSTRUCTOR/SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT Public Services
DIVISION Recreation
WORK SCHEDULE MonThurs 7AM12PM
RATE OF PAY Tennis Instructor $1215 Hourly rate is dependent on prior experience with the Recreation Division
Tennis Head Instructor $20 Hourly rate is dependent on prior experience with the Recreation Division
- Knowledge and experience in tennis and tennis instruction.
- Certification by American Red Cross in Basic First Aid and CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or American Heart Association CPR or ability to obtain such certification is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supervise tennis lesson program and teach tennis lessons.
- May also be asked to run and supervise the adult leagues.
- Instructs tennis classes helps publicize classes leagues and tournaments.
- Establishes acceptable level of accomplishment by participants.
- Conduct skill tests.
- Ensure safety of activity and participants.
- Schedule and coordinate other instructors.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Include but are not limited to prolonged standing walking sitting climbing stooping kneeling and crawling.
- Will be required to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Will be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
