JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE:High School Career and Technical Education Teacher Business

The high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher provides instruction in an identified discipline in the area of occupation career and technical or vocational subjects. In addition the high school teacher helps to develop students academic social and/or motor skills.

REPORTS TO:Principal

EXAMPLE (S) of WORK PERFORMED:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (*)

(*) When a specific assignment has additional or different ESSENTIAL FUNCTION requirements the differences will be discussed at the time of assignment.

Physical Demands (Strength)

Exerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or

Exerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or

Exerts 10 to 20 pounds constantly.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Vocational Preparation: (Experience)

Requires successful student teaching experience and/or prior teaching experience.

Education Preparation: (Formal and Informal)

Requires Missouri Teaching Certification Business Education 9 12.

Requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
