Digital Communications Manager

A Digital Communications Manager can tell a compelling story in 280 characters; use art and design to engage and inspire; leverage hashtags emojis and GIFs appropriately and effectively; and understands how communications and digital media tools can amplify the Lincoln Charter brand while building relationships.
The Digital Communications Manager can engage with diverse audiences through multiple channels and is as comfortable doing so online as they are in person. Through strategic thinking and creative storytelling the Digital Communications Manager elevates our mission and community expectations as well as authentically connects with Eagle Nation.
All applicants should be prepared to provide samples of previous work a portfolio or relevant showcases that demonstrate your experience and skill in social media content creation strategy or campaign management.
Reports to: Director of Advancement & Engagement
Responsibilities:
Social Media
- Manage and update the editorial calendar to reflect Lincoln Charters marketing strategy and communications priorities
- Create post and share highquality compelling and relevant content about Lincoln Charter Eagle Nation and missionrelated news via social media channels especially Instagram Facebook and LinkedIn
- Develop creative and innovative media (such as graphics and videos) to promote events campaigns and programs
- Design social media toolkits to engage users in amplifying our programs and initiatives
- Monitor social media accounts and interact with users
- Collect and review data to gauge and/or improve the effectiveness of social media strategies
- Stay informed of the social media space and emerging content trends monitoring for conversations activities and developments that may serve as opportunities for Lincoln Charter
- Lead the ideation and implementation of other social media strategies to help Lincoln Charter achieve our goals
Website
- Manage and update the Lincoln Charter website
- Post stories that reflect the Lincoln Charter Experience
Additional Communications
- Assist Lincoln Charters Director of Advancement & Engagement in drafting communications
- Help to write general newsletters blog posts emails and other targeted outreach to students educators and community members
- Assist in designing promotional materials such as program flyers and event signage
- Prepare for and participate in events
Parentsquare
- Provide support as needed to Parentsquare users
- Assist in setting up groups and permissions as needed
Yearbook
- Assist in proofreading the Yearbook for Lincoln Charter and contribute content as needed
Administrative
- Provide email support to student participants and educators and respond to other programrelated inquiries
- Assist with asset management and content creation including scheduling professional photo days
- Perform other programrelated or administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Intimate knowledge of established and emerging social media channels (Instagram Twitter Facebook YouTube LinkedIn Pinterest TikTok etc.)
- Commitment to keeping up with evolving social media trends and best practices
- Experience with social media analytics tools and translating quantitative data into useful actionable insights
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills especially with multiple audiences in a variety of voices
- A keen eye for design and experience working within brand guidelines; proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Canva or other similar platforms
- Adept in Google and database management platforms
- Basic video editing and/or digital media production skills
- Experience working with Hootsuite or other social media management platforms is a plus
- Highly selfmotivated and directed with sharp attention to detail and conscientious followthrough; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a remote work setting
- An innate insatiable curiosity and desire to learn and grow
- Flexible with an allhandsondeck teamcentered approach

Terms of Employment:
