STV is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Specialist for our Geotechnical department at our Philadelphia PA office.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct geotechnical investigations site assessments and subsurface explorations to support infrastructure and building projects.
Analyze soil rock and groundwater conditions and prepare detailed geotechnical reports with design recommendations.
Perform geotechnical design calculations for foundations retaining structures slope stability and ground improvement techniques.
Provide technical support during construction including reviewing submittals performing field observations and resolving geotechnical challenges.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams clients and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives and compliance standards are met.
Serve as geotechnical task leader on infrastructure pursuits and projects.
Prepare geotechnical reports and proposals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience supporting transportation infrastructure and building projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within one year.
Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software (e.g. gINT SLOPE/W LPILE PLAXIS) and standard office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear concise technical reports proposals and presentations.
Compensation Range:
