Job Description

Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating activities related to Health Sciences Continuing Education programs and conferences including course creation marketing student advising and registration data collection and community outreach.

Essential Functions
Assist the Director of HSCE in coordinating programs and conferences Maintain proficiency with the Higher Reach system: course data form entry student information management and accounting Perform initial student advisement and coordinate the registration process Coordinate course payment collection including invoicing Manage collection and recordkeeping of student registration requirements: immunization records criminal background checks drug screening liability and health insurance and other requirements as needed Oversee student identification badge production Provide instructor support including assistance with room reservation media equipment supplies materials textbooks course scheduling and facilitating a strong working relationship with instructors Coordinate clinical site management including assisting with scheduling communications maintaining affiliation agreements and maintaining effective relationships Create and provide course completion certifications Collect and summarize endofcourse evaluations Collect and summarize student data based on success measurements: completion industry certification employment and advancement into academic health science programs Assist with all functions of community conferences and seminars Promote programs and disseminate marketing materials Assist with accreditation applications Work cooperatively with all Midland College departments Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time The person in this position needs to move to other locations on campus occasionally Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus Frequently moves equipment or paperwork weighing up to 25 pounds Duties indoors and some outdoors Office environment Ability to work extended hours and attend Midland College or community events

Required Qualifications
Associates Degree (or equivalent 60 college credit hours) and a minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience that includes demonstrated work experience with detailoriented tasks of a significant nature Computer literacy to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Word and PowerPoint Learning Management Systems such as Canvas and virtual meetings Competency with digital communication tools such as texting social media and messaging apps. Knowledge of general office equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks to meet departmental goals

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree Academic advising experience Work experience in higher education Knowledge of healthcare careers
