Our Team

• You will be working on BlackRocks investment operating system called Aladdin. Aladdin is used both internally within BlackRock and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management trading and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decisionmaking and create a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.

• The MultiAsset Solutions & Strategies Engineering team is a global team of product managers engineers and designers on a dual mission: unlocking scale and supporting the continued growth of the MASS business and evolving Aladdins whole portfolio capabilities.

• The MASS Engineering works closely with teams across Aladdin Engineering Aladdin Data and MultiAsset Strategies & Solutions to deliver innovative solutions to some of their biggest challenges. The teams work is critical to advancing many of the firms highgrowth offerings including Outsourced CIO Model Portfolio Solutions MultiAlts and more.

Being a member of Aladdin Engineering MASS Engineering team you will be:

Responsibilities:

• Work on java fullstack development projects with Angular web development and java backend.

• Collaborate with team members in a multioffice multicountry environment and

• Deliver high efficiency high availability concurrent and fault tolerant software systems.

• Significantly contribute to development of Aladdins global multiasset platform.

• Work with product management and business users to define the roadmap for the product.

• Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems identifying issues and roadblocks.

• Apply validated quality software engineering practices through all phases of development.

• Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews unit regression and user acceptance testing dev ops and level two production support.

• Be a leader with vision and a partner in brainstorming solutions for team productivity efficiency guiding and motivating others.

• Drive a strong culture by bringing principles of inclusion and diversity to the team and setting the tone through specific recruiting management actions and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

• B.E./ ./ MCA or any other relevant engineering degree from a reputed university.

Skills and Experience:

• 4 Experience and strong handson with Java 8 or later.

• Strong in understanding of Javabased frameworks such as Spring (Core boot MVC ORM JDBC)and should be able to design distributed and scalable applications.

• Proven experience as an Angular developer or a similar role.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript TypeScript HTML and CSS.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

• Track record building high quality software with designfocused and testdriven approaches

• Experience with relational database and/or NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra)

• Great analytical problemsolving and communication skills

• Some experience or a real interest in finance investment processes and an ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.

• Some experience (could be academic) with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure

• Experience in developing in microservices architecture and/or writing APIs.

• Exposure with build tools (like Maven) Git Splunk JIRA.

• Proficiency building and passionate about creating great products that solve big problems.

• Strong teamwork interpersonal skills and time management abilities.

Nice to have and opportunities to learn:

• Exposure to Python including unit and end to end testing frameworks in Python.

• Experience with AIrelated projects/products or experience working in an AI research environment.

• Working financial knowledge and/or previous experience in a financial company.

• Experience in message brokers such as Kafka is a plus.

Our hybrid work model
