This position will advise the business and senior leadership on strategic matters be responsible for competitionrelated regulatory matters in the UK and help shape the companys longterm strategy on highly relevant and novel issues.
Key Responsibilities
Drive regulatory competition matters focusing primarily on the UK including integrated partnership with the local legal team.
Advise the business and legal colleagues on competitionrelated matters across all Amazon businesses.
Help shape the companys longterm strategy on high impact and often novel issues.
Think Big and look around corners to spot issues and identify developments of relevance for the Amazon business.
Partner with our public policy team and engage with regulators and policy makers on a broad range of issues.
Contribute as a member of the EU Competition team to develop mechanisms for training compliance and crossfunctional coordination.
The role is based in London and will report to the Director and Associate General Counsel EU Competition. Some travel will be required.

Fully qualified lawyer with outstanding academic and legal qualifications
5 years of experience in UK and EU competition law
Experience in independently managing competition related regulatory matters with deep demonstrated experience in the UK.
Experience independently managing a large number and variety of missioncritical projects and meeting deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as demonstrated proficiency in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization.
Sound and practical business judgment as well as common sense
Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations while being able to contribute successfully to crossfunctional teams
A team player and consensus builder with great people skills and a good sense of humor who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with lawyers and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
