Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Engineer MBSE to support the development of turbinebased propulsion systems and their integration with aircraft systems. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in systems engineering modelbased systems engineering practices and technical leadership in aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply and implement systems engineering processes across the lifecycle of turbinebased propulsion systems and interfacing aircraft systems.
- Define manage and analyze system requirements and performance parameters.
- Perform system safety analyses including fault tree creation system hazard analyses and the generation of FMEA and FMECA documentation.
- Support reliability engineering risk management and failure investigations.
- Organize and manage technical data and documentation to meet customer requirements and internal best practices.
- Provide analytical substantiation and datadriven insights to inform engineering design decisions.
- Define track and document verification and validation activities across system subsystem and component levels.
- Collaborate closely with program management and customer stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive customerdefined data packages on schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
- Broad technical understanding of turbine engine and/or airframe technologies.
- Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and the ability to decompose requirements into actionable items.
- Experience with system analysis methodologies such as FMEA FMECA and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Familiarity with electronic and/or software systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and build strong working relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong written communication skills including technical document preparation.
- Working knowledge of relevant commercial and military standards such as:
- SAE ARP 4754 SAE ARP 4761 DO160 DO178 DO254
- MILSTD810 MILSTD464 MILSTD882
- U.S. Citizenship required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting U.S. Air Force digital engineering programs.
- Proficiency with MBSE tools principles and digital transformation methodologies.
- Handson experience with MBSE and engineering software tools.
