Compensation

At S&C we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $151140 $200318.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors including performance knowledge jobrelated skills and experience and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP) subject to eligibility criteria.

Are you passionate aboutAdvanced Manufacturing EngineeringS&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. As a Principal Engineeryoull be crucial in ensuring continued innovation and supporting our diverse team.

The Principal Engineer (New Product Integration) is responsible for the execution of successful product release and delivery of the next generation of S&C products. This role will work as the handson operations hub leading crossfunctional teams and driving major projects to meet company targets. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical solutions to ensure a flawless transition from product concept through process implementation and manufacturing stability. A successful New Product Integration Engineer is a natural lead and facilitator; is driven organized and detailoriented and excels in project management.

Key Responsibilities:

New Product Integration: Lead crossfunctional project team of professional engineers and other supporting roles responsible for executing the release of the next generation of S&C products and solutions. Translate product requirements created from marketing sales and customer feedback into authored manufacturing process requirements that achieve the objectives of Production Operations.

Product Development Team Partnership: Partner with product development team to create and maintain project plans for release of scalable new products that deliver innovative solutions for a safe reliable resilient electrical grid.

Product Design Partnership: Partner with product design team to realize products that meeting Design for Manufacture Assembly and Automation (DFMA) requirements.

Process Development and Validation: Lead project team through Production Preparedness Process (3P) events to design prototype build and implement manufacturing processes capable of executing a production launch that meets SQDC (Safety Quality Delivery Cost) performance targets.

Supplier Selection: Support identification negotiation and selection of suppliers and other vendor partners needed to product new products providing expertise on process equipment and production requirements and ensuring alignment with customer expectations and company goals.

Engineering Mentorship: Mentor team members leveraging personal expertise and relevant experience to improve competencies of Manufacturing Engineers and project team.

Project Reporting: Present project statuses to leadership using data driven analysis to inform process equipment and decisions. Oversee project and process objectives recommending strategic changes when needed to meet deadlines.

Budget Management: Own project capital budgets of $10M through identification and justification of manufacturing process expenditures and management of cash flows to financial targets.

Continuous Improvement Activities: Collaborate and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of engineering processes within the Manufacturing Engineering function and ensure results directly support improved customer satisfaction.

Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable and Company policies and rules.

What youll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements (To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):

Bachelors degree in Industrial Manufacturing Mechanical or Electrical engineering.

10 years of demonstrated experience in delivering major new products to market within a highvolume highmix or semi automated manufacturing environment.

Possess leading expertise in manufacturing and product engineering with deep subject matter expert knowledge in value stream mapping lean six sigma manufacturing and process design.

Proven record of successfully and consistently integrating new products in a manufacturing environment from the initial phases of spec development to final stages of quality and compliance validation.

Excellent communication skills (written verbal listening and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from senior executives to support staff and present compellingly to achieve buyin from executives managers and team members.

Leading organizational planning and project management skills coordinating internal and external resources creative problemsolving when obstacles arise and juggling a heavy volume of diverse projects including both strategic and tactical assignments.

Excellent business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions problemsolve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect navigate and resolve conflict moderate behaviors and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.

Ability to travel as required.

Major Physical Demands:

SittingFrequently required to remain in a stationary position and perform deskbased tasks for 8 hours at a time approximately 5 days per week

WalkingOccasionally required to walk moderate distances

Manual DexterityFrequently required to use handeye coordination to control both hands and arms

Observation / EyesightFrequently required to observe details at close range including depth perception peripheral vision and the ability to differentiate between colors
