Job Description
- Plans and executes experiments under direct supervision.
- Calculates analyzes and interprets data collected for presentation to mentor (Investigator). Discusses with mentor alterations of experimental procedures and carries out approved changes.
- In conjunction with mentor prepares manuscripts for publication in peerreviewed scientific journals and abstracts and posters for presentation at scientific meetings.
- Reviews current literature to keep abreast of changing scientific theories techniques and their effects on the current experiments. Discuss new issues in the literature with mentor.
- Maintains accurate and legible notebook for recording of all aspects of experimental protocols and equipment requirements.
- Participates in and/or leads regular research quality management activities to ensure research studies are in compliance with federal state and local law GCP contracts and institutional policies.
- May participate in ongoing clinical care as part of a formal SH GME training program.
- May participate in all functions of research (bench clinical and/or translational).
