Job Description
IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide we are currently seeking Production Operators to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Hillsboro Texas plant. This plant produces premium roofing shingles and in a high speed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to safety policies programs procedures
Complete health & safety prestart checklists
Ensure product being produced meets established quality specifications
Document quality checks at regular intervals
Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
Operate counterbalance propanepowered forklift
Document production numbers items contributing to downtime (using computerized system called PRODAC as well as handwritten production reports)
General housekeeping duties
Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
Qualifications:
Experience in heavyindustrial manufacturing construction or similar industry preferred
Minimum 1 year of counterbalance forklift operating experience (Recommended)
Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
Manual dexterity
Attention to detail
Fluent in verbal and written English
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
Must be ableto work at heights and in confined spaces
