Salary:pro rata depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Extend Role

This role is advertised as part of our BBC Extend programme for disabled people. To apply for this role you should identify as deaf disabled or neurodivergent and must meet either: the definition of disability in the Equality Act (2010) or the definition of disability in the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) if applying in Northern Ireland. Youre broadly defined as disabled under both acts if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and longterm negative or adverse effect on your ability to do normal daily activities. This definition includes both apparent and nonapparent conditions and impairments and medical conditions such as Cancer HIV or Multiple Sclerosis.

As a Content Producer you be responsible for devising planning and making distinctive digital and audio content across Radio Wales and BBC network radio for a variety of programmes (including religion) both from and for Wales.

Youll come up with imaginative and compelling programme ideas in a wide range of styles and formats (including worship) which youll see through to completion as an active member of highly engaged programme teams.

With an ear for stories and content that resonates with our audiences youll have a good sense of the social and political context of Wales.

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience of live studio production and have demonstrable experience of working with and directing both new and established presenters.

Youll embrace the BBCs digital development plan and ensure content is delivered to the highest standards on all digital platforms including BBC Sounds and social media.

Youll have an interest in and knowledge of news and current affairs the Radio Wales playlist and popular culture as well as general knowledge and an understanding of the culture of Wales.

Youll have a good knowledge of theology Christian music hymns and worship music.
