Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Computer and Storage in this position you will be the subject matter expert in Enterprise storage systems and will be responsible for leading projects in the development implementation and execution of information technology and will be responsible for a complex specialized area within IT. This position is complementary to the Server Operations Unix Operations and Storage Operations Teams. Communication with stakeholders and coworkers will be essential in ensuring that project deliverables meet client expectations. In this position you will utilize your diverse IT expertise to operate independently on assigned work or provide guidance to others.

You will also be responsible for a variety of tasks including:


As a successful candidate you will lead in the development implementation administration and support of the Government of Alberta (GOA) File Services Environment. You will also work independently on both operational and project related activities in consultation with the Storage Team Lead Server Team Lead and Unix Team Lead. This position requires a high level of experience with the administration and management of Networked Storage File Services Server Virtualization Backup and Recovery services as well as Replication services.

    Final candidates will be required to undergo CRC Level 2 security screening.
