DescriptionThe Manager HVAC Control Panel Engineering will lead a team of control panel engineers responsible for integrating electronics developed by internal teams and external vendors into HVAC equipment. This role plays a critical part in shaping the future of Rheems Air Conditioning solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead mentor and manage the activities of our Control Panel Engineers making a profound impact on Rheems product development and innovation.
This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division located in Fort Smith AR
Responsibilities- Manage and mentor a team of control panel engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee the integration of electronic components from internal teams and external vendors into HVAC equipment.
- Ensure the manufacturability and quality of control panels meeting all relevant standards and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with national electrical codes and safety standards
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including software hardware and product development throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop maintain and update comprehensive project plans including deliverables key dependencies and schedules
- Facilitate regular team meetings to share status updates plan progress and resolve issues.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure necessary hardware and software features are incorporated.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical or related discipline).
- Proven track record of developing talent and leading effective teams.
- Experience working with crossfunctional teams and external subject matter experts.
- Passionate about building and owning innovative customerfacing products.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the development and integration of control panels or similar systems.
- Experience with product and componentlevel FMEAs.
- Proficient computer skills and indepth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
- Innovative and solutionoriented mindset with the ability to think creatively.
- Ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering.
- HVAC Application Experience (Strongly preferred).
- Variable Speed/Inverter Experience
- Electronics Design Experience.
- Software Experience.
